April 12, 2019 - Yesterday we celebrated our third Munich Members Salon. Our guest of honour, the dedicated Consul General Chiriac of Romania, introduced us to her country and explained the economic possibilities and opportunities the country withholds.
Romania is a highly competitive European market with a population of nearly 20 million people and a large number of talented and well-educated young students. Romanians are skilled workers, who are entering another phase of the industry where technology becomes the key factor. In order to be part of the 4.0 industry revolution, Romanian businesses work closely with the universities of their country to push the boundaries in the fields of digitalisation, big data, energy efficiency and smart cities even further. It’s also interesting that women’s participation in science is at 53% in Romania compared to a European average of 38%.
The diverse group of yesterday’s guests - ranging from artists, photographers and moderators to IT, finance and investment specialists - made this evening another unexpected highlight-event of meaningful discussions and eye-opening discourse.
Thank you so very much, dear Munich Members and friends, for your openness and willingness to listen, learn and meet new people from other disciplines. And believe it or not – the request has been raised to organise a joint Munich Members business trip to Romania! Maybe for 2021?
